A couple of weeks ago Emilie and Grace both found a caterpillar out in a field by some blackberry bushes. We decided to keep them and hopefully see them make their amazing transformation into butterflies. I found out today, however, that they are actually moth caterpillars. :( Oh well, it will be cool anyway. Below is a picture of Emilie proudly showing her "new pet", which she has been taking very good care of and Grace is petting her furry caterpillar. (That girl makes me laugh!)
I was looking up some information on caterpillars tonight and these are a few pictures I couldn't help but share with you!
#1 Tiger Swallow Tail Face Caterpillar
#2 Hickory Horned Devil Caterpillar
#3 Puss Moth Caterpillar
God has a great imagination!

Oh, what fun!! I used to love finding those fuzzy ones. I thought they were soft and cute too!
You will have to come see our new home soon! (Well maybe once the boxes are gone!)
I also find this hillarious! What was He thinking as he created these things? Was He laughing??? or anticipating our laugh? I love your kids, Anna. Love you too.
Oh my word, you are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!!!
I just 'happened' across your lovely blog!
I just have to comment on your 'resolutions at 30' post....aww man, I think it was #8 (I was trying to remember!) when you mentioned how your heard the kids playing and they stopped midway and told each other "I love you"......SO SWEET!
One of the many, many perks of homeschooling ! My daughter said to me, of her younger brother, "Mom, it's like he's my best friend!"
This was not always the case in our home! (specially before we started to hs !)
**big smiles**
Blessings to you ~

Love those fuzzy litte guys! My kids loved watching this - it's about 5 minutes of video - a catepillar turning into a pupa.
