Inducement date!

This last Friday I went in for my 37 week prenatal appointment and my mid-wife presented me with an option. She told me that she will be going to Africa in about 2 weeks and would cry if she didn't get to deliver Anderson. Well, I wouldn't want her tears on my hands of course, so I agreed to an inducement date. Actually, I feel the same way she does. Michelle has delivered our three other children and I would really like to have her deliver our fourth. She is someone that I strongly desire to come to know the Lord. I love her, I really do! So, the date is set! I go in on June 24th in the evening ( for any men reading you may want to stop here!) to get that gel put on my cervix. This may or may not send me into labor. If it does not, I will be induced in the morning on Wed. the 25th. This is only 10 days away! We are so excited about this new addition to our family. I am just filled with thankfulness for this little man God has blessed us with. The kids are ready and excited. This boy could still possibly come before the planned date, however. I have had a lot of contractions today but nothing that has stayed consistent. There is a large part of me that enjoys the thrill of being surprised about the birth date. I like the whole, " Honey, I think it's time!" thing. We shall see. There is a lot to be said about getting to plan for a babysitter, Aaron getting work off, and I can prepare our home. I feel a little selfish that I am doing a post about myself on Father's Day but Aaron said he didn't really want me to post about him. He gets a little embarrassed about all that mushy stuff. Technically, however, this post would not be possible without Aaron, if you know what I mean. :)
