Goodbye 20's- Hello 30's

Last Thursday I turned 30 on the 30th. I waved goodbye to my twenties and opened my door to my thirties. I think I am really going to like this new age. The only way I can describe it is to say that I feel comfortable being 30. It just feels nice. I have made some 30 year old resolutions and I thought I would share a few with you.

Deep
1) laugh a lot more
2) meet God every morning
3) grow in humility and wisdom
4) love others deeper
5) listen more and talk less ( to God and others)

Not so deep
1)get new trendy hair cut (done already)
2)go to bed earlier
3) learn to cook some new meals
4) eat hormonally balanced ( I know, sounds strange, but it really does help me feel better)

Thanks to all of you that wrote or called to wish me a happy birthday. I know life gets busy and I really appreciate your love.

Favorite Birthday Happenings (in no particular order)
1)Jake (my nephew) telling me I looked like a teenager with my new haircut
2) My sweet sister-in-law Heather stopping by to wish me a happy birthday
3) My thoughtful husband canceling soccer practice to be home with me on my birthday.
4) My thoughtful husband surprising me with a Star Bucks Fappuccino (this was so nice for my soar throat)
5) My kids getting along just about perfectly all day long
6) Going to dinner with my father-in-law, Nana Shirley,(Aaron's grandma), and Great Grandpa(Aaron's Grandpa).
7) Getting my hair cut
8) Listening to Eli and Emilie play from another room and hearing Eli stop mid-play and pause.....
Eli, "Sister, I love you!"
Emilie, " I love you to buddy!"
Then they picked up playing right where they left off.
Oh my goodness, I couldn't help but tear up. This was God's present to me. Thank you God!
9) Reading my very good friend Katy's blog and being blessed by her amazing encouragement.

Anna-

Happy belated birthday! It surprises me that you're just now thirty. What a productive decade your twenties were! It was so great to see you at the BBQ last weekend.
